I taught myself this craft on the streets. I'm tough. I'm resilient. I got away from drugs and alcohol right when they were about to take everything — and I've been sober almost 5 years.

GypZy Road came out of that. It's proof that a person can be hard and soft at the same time. Punk and pretty. Scarred and still growing — like a flower pushing up through a crack in the sidewalk.

I treat my customers like gold. After all, without them, what am I really doing?

I make jewelry so people have a safe way to express what's hard to say out loud — fear, anger, confusion, joy. If more people could express themselves safely, the world would be a much better place.
